Anne Hathaway was born on November 12, 1982 in Brooklyn, New York. She is an American singer and actress who grew up in Millburn, New Jersey. Her mother inspired her to start acting, which is why she was nominated for the Papermill Playhouse Rising Star Award for Best Performance by a High School Actress in the musical comedy Once Upon a Mattress.
Hathaway’s first ever professional screen debut was in the TV series Get Real, before she landed the main role in Disney’s The Princess Diaries movies. This is where she won the Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Actress in the Comedy category.
In 2002 and 2006, Teen People Magazine named her as one of the 25 Hottest Stars Under 25. Meanwhile, FHM rated her as 85th among the sexiest women in the world in 2006.
